Lucas TCS have been awarded the early works civils construction package for the Mercunda strandline of the Mindarie Mineral Sands project. The mine is located 195km east of Adelaide and is close to the previous Mindarie Mineral Sands Mine that Lucas TCS mined from 2012 -2015.

The awarded works were for Civils & Concrete works which included the following:
  • Topsoil & Subsoil Stripping
  • Qty 25,000m3 to stockpile.
  • Earthworks Cut to Fill (10,000m3)
  • Imported Fill (7,000m3 from BP#1)
  • Pad & Road Preparation (60,000m2)
  • 1km of Roadworks
  • Over 40k of material crushed to various specifications
  • Supply of 43 Precast Footings off site
  • 9 major Footings insitu, on site
  • All Footings built to be movable / mobile
  • Mobile Processing Plant

These works for the site establishment were delivered using varying sizes of articulated dump trucks, scrapers and excavators.
