The Bend Drag Strip Precinct

This project marks another milestone in the ongoing successful contractor client relationship between Peregrine & Lucas TCS and further solidifies our reputation as a reliable and trusted contractor.

This new addition of Drag Strip to the precinct hosts 55 events each year, attracting more than 120,000 visitors annually. The Drag Facility features a kilometer of tarmac, auditorium-style seating and lighting for night events, plus a 1000-square-metre burnout pad and three-hectare staging area.

The scope of works for this project has included the following:

Lucas TCS moved over 50,000m3 of bulk earthworks, crushed and placed over 60,000m3 of pavement material, constructed more than 3km’s of retaining walls and tiered seating and excavated and installed more than 5kms of services. Lucas TCS worked with the client and other subcontractors to ensure the works were completed well before the first major event that was attended by more than 30,000 people. Lucas TCS was privileged to be a major part of the delivery team of this world class facility.
