The Scope of Work includes the construction works of the following:
- Permanent sheet piling supply and install
- Load, haul and placement of 138,000 m3 core material
- Supply and install geotextile fabric
- Blasting, extracting and sorting 123,000 tonnes of rock
- Transport and place 60,000m3 primary armour rock, secondary armour rock including rock berm
- Construction of the working platform for wharf construction
- Survey and engineer controls for construction
- Dust and plume management
The construction of the causeway was completed in 50-meter sections to mitigate the potential damage caused by weather events and king tides. The L Shaped Berth sits 6m above sea level and is 500m long, ensuring the structural integrity of the causeway was maintained through the construction has been imperative to the successful delivery of the project to our client.
